First-time fix rate.

The share of jobs resolved on the first visit, without a return trip for parts or a second diagnosis.

What is first-time fix rate?

First-time fix rate is completed-on-first-visit jobs divided by total jobs. It is a measure of preparation: truck stock, diagnostic quality, and whether the office captured enough detail when the call came in.

Why it matters

A second trip consumes drive time, a dispatch slot, and fuel while producing no additional revenue, so it usually erases the margin on the original job. It is also the single biggest driver of how customers rate the experience.
